Hello, Planning to move to SD/neighborhood. Work in the wireless domain. Question: Are the offices of QCOM, Apple, Broadcom, Samsung, Amazon, etc all ‘close by’ ? (Say within 5-7 miles of each other) ? Next, given that the above are the companies of interest, could folks please recommend some areas such that: - max 45 mins drive. (If the above list of companies are not really all in close proximity, then let’s assume 45 mins drive from QCOM) - 8+ school (at least elementary) - possible to get 4br (> 2000 sq ft) with decent lot size/ backyard (say 5k lot size) for under $900K. Preferably built after 1990. —- On another note, are there any specific areas with recent (last 10 years) new constructions that can offer 3br multi floor condo type units for under 800k ? Thanks a lot #housing #Sandiego #qualcomm
Thanks. I had looked at Poway but it seems most of the houses there are old construction, but very useful to know there are pockets of new construction there as well. Will check out. Thanks.
It will be so hot during the summer in Poway. You probably don’t want that recent new construction for condos or houses because they most likely have additional mello roos taxes.
Is it hot in the evening too ?

Looks like school district is your priority. Check out city of Poway, one of the best school district in San Diego area. You can check out 4s ranch and black mountain as well, both falls under poway school district, but it could be little on the pricey side as it's mostly new construction, preferred choice for highly paid Qualcomm employees.
