Right, no one should expect onlookers to help. People end up getting stabbed, shot, and dead for intervening. We're not trained for this. We pay taxes and vote to a special group of people protect us from this. What the hell are they up to.
When seconds matter, the police are just minutes away. The police aren't there to protect everyone all the time. They are there to maintain general law and order. Your safety is your responsibility.

In today’s world I kinda wonder what people get from this kind of robbery, a cell phone? A credit card? A backpack?
A day in the life of San Francisco So this morning, I woke up with bubble tea at my local shop, walked 2 blocks, filmed a live robbery, did daily scrum and then posted the robbery video online. Got some work done, ate free lunch, walked back home and got robbed. My work laptop and phone was stolen. Luckily the company will replace both and glad I posted the video before they robbed my phone.
Small price to pay for going Liberal. Let’s defund some more police as these crimes are too petty.
