It won't last, but it will be entertaining. Can you imagine Sam taking the diversity training? The ex-OpenAI researchers in the infinite meetings with the Responsible AI PMs? Microsoft researchers learning how easily they can be slapped on the face by a CEO able to give millions of RSUs to external hires when their refresh grants are peanuts? Wait! The ex-OpenAI people will also have a review next year! That will be really entertaining! TC: 800K #microsoft, #openai
Google shitting their pants. Everyone said the same about GitHub, look how that turned out. This will be an independent org with unlimited resources + compute and only connected to MSFT on paper. They will innovate like crazy and all that stuff will power Microsoft's product portfolio. Checkmate.
Yeah. A true vote of confidence for your existing research teams. 👏👏👏
Google spending all this money and can't pull this off. Good luck with Sundar 'No vision' Pichai!
Sam Altman will be the CEO of a subsidiary under Microsoft like LinkedIn/Github- they don’t have the same rules as Microsoft does :) basically Sam Altman is getting to research and productionize stuff with Azur credits - and that too with NVIDIA being a close partner
Would it be easy for Microsofties to move to it? I'd love to farm more 🥜🥜🥜
You are not good enough, bro
Much like satya said: "we will make google dance in search" after which msft search share plummeted. Satyas desperate indian behavior which was appropriately left out of every openai conversation and ending up with him desperately bringing a salesman back home to a shithose of the lowest IQ trash which were never good enough for Google/amazon and a workplace which earned the reputation of " retirement home" : just make me puke. " failure/pathetic" defines msft so well, I would rather be a homeless before touching a msft contract with. 100 meter pole
Don't be so hateful. Our 🥜 have grown into bigger 🥜, we've so much good things to talk about. Yeah, that was all the good thing. On a serious note, everyone accepts a contract that suits them well. You know that you'd be ready to join Microsoft if you get a good team, work and higher pay. It's difficult but not impossible.
Nope, msft is equivalent to X right now, a place only lower life forms with incredibly low skill/iq who were never good enough for anyplace devent would thrive in that at this point. It's getting really pathetic/repulsive with every move. I don't want to tarnish my resume with such a name
Imagine being CEO of the hottest startup and end up being MS drone!
“You bought a Sledgehammer last week, would you like to buy another?” - Amazon AI
F U OP and good for nothing arrogant FOOGLERS
Now Microsoft has two OpenAI in pocket and Google still laser focuses on how to show more YouTube ads.
AI's true purpose is to show more ads.
What else can the dumb Google CEO do
AI won't use itself... If only OpenAI could use ChatGPT...
Salty, google? Msft does have islands of companies that work independently and have their own processes. In theory it may have challenges, but not impossible to solve. Short term timelines may get effected but not impossible tackle. Google may have some advantages to catch up
Dude is getting 800k. He's obviously on the seaside vacation and enjoying all the salt with the water. For us 🥜 farmers, you'd better know. We too are salty but it's our sweat.
My experience: Sam doesn't like Eric Boyd and gang. Dealing with them as customers once in a while with a direct line of escalation to Satya was one thing. Dealing with them as partners and required to focus on Azure will be really the main issue going forward. I also don't see this working for long.
