I am curious to know what people do with the money which they are saving to buy a house? Do they keep in savings account which provides decent interest rate OR do they invest it in index/betterment/wealthfront OR do they take risk of putting certain portion of their money in stocks so that money is not sitting ideal in the bank account ?
Don’t you have RSU’s? Most people sell RSU and make down payment
Down payment is money you cannot afford to lose. High yield online savings accounts only
Depends. If you are buying a house as an investment rather than a place to raise your family then it makes sense to invest the down payment too as the house is not must have
I have same portfolio.. How are your returns so far?
btc and dream to buy home in cash
Don’t you have aaba stock? Don’t sell - this is your down payment
I do have a aaba stocks but not enough to cover down payments. Plus, it's doing that great due to trade war with China 😒

Prestige poll for my offers
1.8% savings account, 2.5% CD account, or stocks. Going from least risky to most risky. Edit: I forgot to say the ratio, it's actually pretty close to 1/3 each for me. With stocks on the bigger side since that includes my RSUs.
