Both are extremely hard to learn If you want to get a high tc, which language will you prefer ? #engineering #software #swe
Elevate yourself beyond languages. It’s all 1s and 0 at the end of the day
rust you dumbass have you even compared the growth of the two languages in industry?
Dude Scala is in the past
Scala is pain, rust is still pain but at least at some point you’ll enjoy it
Scala learning curve too steep. Twitter is regretful on betting on Scala.
Scala's problem isn't so much the learning curve. The issue is the community is bloody tiny. There's no fundamental reason Scala syntax is "harder" than other languages. People just don't invest the time in a language with a small community. Which isn't an unfair take.
Scala. All the joy of academic, devoid of practicality, functional programming, but with the added weight of a heavy JVM! A winning combination!
It's literally irrelevant. Programming paradigms and architecture matter. Not languages. Sweat hard, be a good dev, learn the dominant programming paradigms. Be a dev in "xxx domain" you like. Don't be a "xxx language" dev. Source: Scala Dev.
Axon uses Scala. I like it.
Nobody use that shitty Scala language anymore
Nah. I heard Apple use scala heavily
