Scientific malpractice reporting tool : EB1

With the crazy lines for EB2 greencard, a lot of people are publishing fake research and getting fake citations to file for an EB1. There are multiple "coaches" who promote this as well. If you notice someone has authored a paper in collaboration with random researchers in Maldova or Bulgaria, its highly likely that it's scientific malpractice. Use this tool to report https://www.linkedin.com/company/india-research-watchdog/about/ So glad someone has come up with this. There lots of excellent researchers and scientists in India. For them to get due credit, malpractice needs to stop TC 175K

So if I have a published research paper…. Can I file EB1 green card??? My better half has published it in her Phd program in India from tier 1 college

No, not one paper. Like dozens of papers, hundreds of citations, and several letters from third party experts in the field. You can skip this if your better half has a Pulitzer or Nobel prize gathering dust.

Intel rcYQ11 Mar 29

Won't say hundreds of citations and dozens of papers but yeah, I got mine with 183 citations and 12 papers so it's certainly possible to do it with a relatively lower profile as well.

Is there any similar link to report EB1C managers from India? I have a list of at least 80 ppl I know from cognizant, Wipro, NTT DATA, TCS and Infosys who are now at other companies

Amazon mamu-ji Mar 28

80? The actual number of fake EB1C from these companies is probably 20k in the last 10 years since Obama tightened L1 visas. You reporting isn’t not going to change anything. Back in 2017-18, I wrote to my senator and house rep about EB1C abuse and always got a copy-paste reply. I gave up my crusade in 2020. I realized that maybe that’s how the game is supposed to be played. 2 years back I got married to another desi girl born in Abu dhabi and bingo I also got my GC. If you ask me if it’s fair, i will say it’s not but thise are the rules of the game.

Apple blue12fox Mar 29

When you make the idiotic rules this kind of absurdity will happen. Which sends people to India to make them international managers for a year. Gating this with multi year high salary requirement can stop this abuse but nobody cares

Amazon yutytte Mar 28

When you can’t write research and are too jealous of other people doing it. Uscis won’t use the tool so you can go fk yourself

This is awesome. Yeah these scammers need to be deported.

Google rhabsurd Mar 29

Is it? Or is it just a random karma farming LinkedIn profile?

Typical desi innovation.

i agree with all the sentiment here from OP, but isn't this revealing the fact there's a loophole in the US immigration itself? If one could fake papers to get a green card, it simply means there's no other better way to find a person is worth it not - That sounds very odd. USCIS is employing dumb ppl.

Google rhabsurd Mar 29

The question is, is the premise even correct?

IBM UjcS48 Mar 29

it is not, but the solution for anything is to fix at the source. Adding one tool to find fake papers will simply help in finding a way to workaround the tool or find other loopholes. right?
