IISc, IITB/D only I guess
Very good life for IIT proffesors esp the one in tier one cities, free house, decent salary and great wlb. Good work opportunities also if the supervising professor is good. A PhD is very valuable degree and not a lot of those in India compared to the number of jobs. But getting ms admission in top IITs is not easy, for non iit undergrads it's thru competitive exam gate
NO, don’t waste your money..R&D in India is shit compared to western nations
If you want to go to academic line in India , PHD is very good. Plenty of new IITs, NITs, IIITs these days. All provide good accommodation, great WLB and nice salary for professor's. But if you want to work for industry, it's not very useful. IISC is better for PHD.
Industry Applied Scientists position will be better in terms of tc. Not much interested in becoming a professor in India as I don't have quota.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
US universities will have better rankings ,education & reputation. U can also make handsome money
Yeah that's true. But if I want to do part time Phd alongside my job, then will have find something in India. Are iits only good for BTech ? My nephew is prepping for both iitjee and sat. Which will be better to choose ?
OP, unless you are working as a teacher or as an employee in selected (mostly govt) research/scientific/technical organisations, you can't get a part time Masters/PhD from IITs or IISc.
