Screen time on Mac for kids
my son uses laptop a lot. its a mac. What is the best method to enforce screen time on Mac ? do you restrict using router or mac software ?
Make him use command line only
Those days we gone long
Give him a LC hard every time he opens the laptop..he will automatically stop...that's what happened to me ..it works

I let my kids spend as much time on the computer as they want. I trust them, and I frequently participate in their online gaming. In addition, I pay them cash to code little mini projects for me. Nothing useful—just something fun. But I hope it will help them if they decide to go with CS.
When I was young, my father and I had a deal. If I was above average in all my classes in school, he would not monitor/restrict me. Make your kids deserve trust. Worked great for me.
No trust issue. I’m not trying to monitor content. I just want him to not spend too much time on laptop. So far I don’t see anyone knows how to do it on Mac ?
I have Google WiFi, and if and when needed I can pause the internet on my kid's devices. I am not doing it, but could be an option for you.
Install gentoo instead.
