Austin any day
Its like 200 miles from Dallas but why Austin over Dallas?
Austin has a good night life, food and some sites around the city. Dallas as a city is good but not to do much here.
If you are remote employee why are you interested living in texas?
No state tax and affordable and spacious house. Also i really don’t like Seattle weather.
Not affordable anymore. Plus weather is just opposite of Seattle, but not much better.
Are you primarily into burb life? Then doesn’t matter. You like a walkable downtown, food, artsy/outdoorsy vibe? Then Austin. You like pro sports? Then Dallas.
We are moving to Austin from Seattle
If remote I would chose Nashville . No state tax and better city
Weather is not great though. It’s very humid in Nashville and tech jobs isn’t as good
Austin is hot . Dallas can get bit humid
OP, I am also a Realtor in Austin and live in one of the suburbs. I did quite a bit of research before buying my home here in one of the communities. Depending on your needs, I can share some pros and cons of specific neighborhoods in Austin area.
Can you please share? Planning on moving soonish
Can you pls share , we are moving to Austin as well. TIA
From an urban planning perspective, both dallas and Austin are pretty shitty compared to Seattle
Why do people always overlook Houston?
Armpit of Texas
Houston is ghetto
I spent six years in Austin before moving to King County, WA (where I’ve been for six years now), and I find Seattle a far better place to live and work than Texas. I have worked remotely full-time for many years, and I love it here. If you want to leave I would look someplace other than Texas.
I am from Dallas, lived in Austin 5+ years. Planning to move to somewhere like Washington state when I move, anywhere with some decent nature. So plain and boring out here.
Why do you want to move?
Dallas for family, Seattle/Austin if you're weird/liberal.
