Wtf

American Express wuali Mar 17, 2019

I don't want to click on a clickbait title. I choose ignorance.

Microsoft hümänkïnd Mar 17, 2019

Good choice. The content/marketing ratio is nearing zero.

Microsoft not-a-dev OP Mar 17, 2019

The video is actually good (but long). Watch it!

I like the Chinese/Singapore approach to drugs. Harsh, but every moron in a shit situation here gets stoned out of their mind these days. Every door dash loser I walk past reeks of pot. Of course their life is depressing and sad.

Airbnb fundamen Mar 17, 2019

Weed is not a problem, it’s less harmful than alcohol. The problem is hard drugs that cause serious addiction, mainly meth, crack, and heroin. Punish users and dealers of those drugs severely and leave the potheads alone.

Google 🍑☁️ Mar 17, 2019

I use pot and other drugs, and my life is not depressing or sad.

Amazon rvdtsuked Mar 17, 2019

I mean, the city is rich from all the money poured into it by tech. The key problem has been ideology — Americans are biased against poor people, being homeless, having a drug addiction, etc. and therefore are unwilling to make bold moves. Building yet another homeless shelter won’t solve anything (though it may be necessary), we need much broader initiatives around health, education and rehabilitation at the municipal level to give these people a path forward, and hope. If government wasn’t so paralyzed by politics and was able to propose real bold moves I bet they’d be able to partner with businesses to move things forward.

Microsoft not-a-dev OP Mar 17, 2019

I’ve said it before. The first important solution would be socialized healthcare, so those who have a mental disease or an addiction (or both) can get treatment if they want to, and get their life back in shape.

Google ;O 𓂺 Mar 17, 2019

These people will do drugs no matter what. Most Americans are naive, dumb, uneducated slobs. How do you help someone incapable of thinking of tomorrow? Either build a shanty town for these people or they'll always be on the street until a venereal disease dissolves their brain.

Amazon wnxK3y Mar 17, 2019

This is a horrible article. Don't bother. Just a random guy rambling about the various issues that Seattle is facing, tons of typos, grammar mistakes, and run on sentences. How did this even get published?

Microsoft M💰FT Mar 17, 2019

Watch the video, it’s actually a very well done documentary.

Homeaway ppMg64 Mar 17, 2019

Wow! Seattle has gone down hill fast. It used to be a beautiful place in 2005. Now it looks like a fckin dumpster!! This is what happens when you have folks like Kshama Sawant and other socialist running the town!

Microsoft not-a-dev OP Mar 17, 2019

Yes please explain how this is all the fault of a single person, who btw got elected for the first time in 2014.

Homeaway ppMg64 Mar 17, 2019

A dingbat like her getting elected itself is a sign of where things were heading. You don’t elect socialists like Savant overnight. The populace starts changing for that to happen. Watch the documentary, it is a telling story of how Seattle has gone to the dogs. So lucky to be in Texas! We don’t pander to such people nor do we tolerate such shit here!!

San Francisco is "hold my beer". Probably way worse in SF for all those metrics. I see daily junkies with the needles in their arm

Amazon PM626 Mar 17, 2019

Speaking of which, is it just me or the air quality is getting worse lately? When I first moved here from LA 4 years ago the air quality was so good. Now I see smog pretty often and the air quality reading often hovers around 55ish, its like LA all over again.

Intel yhgth Mar 17, 2019

In Seattle? It’s nonexistent except during summer fire season

Amazon PM626 Mar 18, 2019

But lately when I look at the sky its rather smoggy. Air index shows its at 45-55 rather often.

Microsoft aoc Mar 17, 2019

I just watched this in the morning. So sad.

Apple 867530nine Mar 17, 2019

My Seattle friends sent me this too. 💯 agree. Lived there for 11 years. Visited last fall and I couldn’t even believe how shitty the city has become. So sad.
