I always wondered if HR professionals across different companies/industries had a secret group and platform where they could discuss candidates they were currently interviewing. I'm interviewing with several companies that are basically technology partners with each other. I saw a website called www.secrethrsociety.com and thought these recruiters could possibly be discussing me and the status of my interview process. And maybe they could also be in cahoots with each other to keep any offers and compensation ranges low. Is my tinfoil hat on properly or has anyone else thought similar thoughts?
We need a mole
So basically the tech industry version of the college collusion scandal? Wouldn't be surprised. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/10/us/politics/justice-department-probe-college-early-decision.html
I can tell you with 100% certainty this doesn't exist. It's illegal to use intellectual property from other enterprises and this includes their highly guarded data about people. Besides, HR is not a technical skill industry so unlike IT where people can get paid a lot to do a little, they are the opposite, working a lot and getting paid too little. They barely have time to improve their own policies let alone start and maintain a secret society.
HR spotted ^. I don't think it's a secret society, but hr or recruitment has a high turnover, and people working here are social beings. So they talk about you (if you are worth talking about +/-) and ask favors from each other.
If HR was that smart they wouldn't be doing real work
No if they were this smart they won't be HRs.
😂
Pew pew lol
