I saw a position for Cloud Security Engineer @Square. Based off the job description, I am more than qualified, but I am not used to nor do I like FAANG-like interview process. Can anyone shed more light on their interview process (security interview if possible)? I don't wanna be doing leetcode for a Security Engineer position. Unnecessary in my opinion.
Brush up your AWS fundamentals (like what would need to review - network configs, S3 policies etc) Practice threat modelling and source code review Look into containers as well Memorize OWASP Also they might give you a scenario and ask your opinion on how to deal with it( ask as many questions as you can to get info from the interviewer- do not make assumptions about the scenario or problem in question) Prepare for few soft questions If your luck is shit then you'll get leetcodes but i don't think square will ask you to leetcodes only few top companies do that. I didn't had any leetcodes at zoom, Microsoft & Apple. Only meta had me do leetcodes. Got accepted in zoom, meta & Microsoft. Rejected by apple
You can DM me if you want more specific details. Each of these interviews were little different. Interview at Microsoft was really something but that role didn't suit me.
Yeah square doesn't really do leetcode
