Hi all, I am new to this platform and looking forward to gaining information on how to transition from aerospace into tech. Briefly put, I have about 7 years working in the aerospace industry. My background is in aerospace engineering where I have held positions in design and manufacturing engineering for a well known business jet manufacturer. I currently work as a project engineer at different aerospace company. With that said I am looking to transition into the tech industry, particularly with a software company. I have taken courses in Python, R and data analytics to get some exposure. However, coding is not my specialty by any means. I am also doing SalesForce training on Trailhead to learn about CRM and B2B management. I am also considering doing AWS cloud practioner training as well as Tableau certification. However I am still undecided and would appreciate any advice on what certifications you would recommend. For positions, I am interested in product management and program management. I know those are two different areas. What can I do to leverage my background to my advantage and get a position that is not necessarily entry level, but high enough to utilize my skills considering I have limited experience in tech? I also really admire the progressive culture at many tech companies that value personal growth and well being as part of their core values. I also really like how many tech and consulting firms become heavily involved in the community and take values like diversity and inclusion very seriously. I greatly appreciate any help or advice.

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Low chances that you would see this but worth a try. Did manage to make a switch? My partner is in a very similar situation looking to move from defense/aerospace to tech. Any advice/ experience would be greatly helpful.
