How good is Seismic in terms of work, etc., specially in terms of career growth in the cloud space? A recruiter reached me for a position and company seems to be good based on Glassdoor review.
There's a ton of bad info in here. There's only one legacy service running asp.net, everything else is dotnet core primarily. The four clouds is due to contracts but it's all kubernetes so it's pretty easy to switch clouds
What's the potential upside in next 3-4 years ? Will it IPO soon ?
Your guess is as good as mine as to when they'll IPO. They're definitely ready for it so I'd imagine the next year or two. Based on the amount of growth and the direction they're going in I'd say there's a lot of upside
First off my experience interviewing with them was not that pleasant. You don't see diversity in the company(check people on Linkedin) and the product itself is lagging features, uses legacy tech like old asp.net code etc. Their competitors like Highspot are way ahead and I don't see them IPO soon or even grow that much. I would not even think atleast not if I was a dev. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the response! This helps. I had the same thoughts about the tech they use when they mentioned about .net code, etc. Also, they use 4 different clouds which gives a picture that they do not have proper direction
