Hi, I have a New Zealander with a mechanical engineering degree and a masters in geothermal engineering (both Hons). Saw all the excitement in tech and really want to transition into software development. I have some freelancing experience developing both native iOS and Android with good reviews. What else can i do to improve my chances in getting my foot in the door in silicon valley? Right now i am planning to take my OCA and OCP exam for java to show my dedication in learning and improve this skill, any more tips? Thanks!
Do LeetCode !! (To crack the interview)
Can we get a leetcode bot already?
Do CAE with Python and MATLAB. Having someone with decent ME/SWE skill intersectionality is very nice for any of the AV companies right now.
Thanks, but it would be nice if i can work on the android os in Google
I think getting experience someone like that would greatly increase your odds of getting in at Google.
