Sell or hold SAP stock

I own shares in SAP stock. Average buy price is about $127, it’s currently trading at $124. If you followed the news, it was at $160 last quarter, but fell sharply after disappointing results. The CEO himself said he isn’t too optimistic about next year due to the Covid pandemic and moving to the cloud. Anyone else holding their stock? #personalfinance #investments

Bought it around $114. Def plan to hold it longer term

Salesforce Urgot OP Dec 7, 2020

Bought during the dip or earlier? At least you’re in good profit. I just think it’s a non performing stock at this point.

Right when it dipped.

Sell

Salesforce Urgot OP Dec 7, 2020

Thinking the same thing.

Buy high sell low

Salesforce binod1 Dec 7, 2020

I’d sell it and invest it somewhere else. I am not very optimistic about SAP’s growth. They’ll stay but not sure if they’ll grow

Salesforce Urgot OP Dec 7, 2020

Oh they aren’t going anywhere for sure. Like you said, just not confident that they’ll grow in the next 1-2 years

Salesforce binod1 Dec 7, 2020

I think it is better to buy VOO or QQQ or MSFT over SAP

Tableau gYls28 Dec 7, 2020

Sell. So many awesome companies to invest in.

Salesforce Urgot OP Dec 7, 2020

Yeah stock market’s looking really juicy right now

Cognizant KRsk51 Dec 7, 2020

Right now is pretty risky... Might be good to trade options, but I'm staying away from making any other moves rn

Duh 🤦‍♂️

SAP I000001 Dec 7, 2020

Very curious why you don’t just buy Salesforce? I would trust Salesforce much more than SAP. I only own SAP because of our ESPP discount, otherwise I wouldn’t touch it.

Salesforce Urgot OP Dec 7, 2020

I already get RSUs and use our ESPP program as well. Wanted to diversify

You should hedge risk by owning shares in your competitors
