What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
Hi all, I’ve received an offer from a B2C Series B scale-up in the UK that’s raised ~$200M: • Position: Senior Product Manager • Base Salary: £120K GBP (matches my Meta salary) • ESOP: 1.5x (comparable to Meta, but no 20% bonus) I have 10 years of experience, mainly in big tech. I’m excited about the scale-up opportunity, but cautious about the ESOP as “paper money” until a liquidity event. Seeking advice on: 1. Market comparison for this offer? 2. ESOP considerations in UK scale-ups? 3. Transition experiences from big tech to scale-ups? 4. Should I negotiate for a higher base or more ESOP due to the lack of bonus? Thanks for any insights!
You’re going from a big pond to a small pond, if you believe this company can become 1 or 2B in two years I would say go for it, otherwise Meta looks better as of now, specially with recession etc
