Hi Everyone, Wanted to understand a concrete number on the TC of a senior TPM at Tableau ? If possible with a breakdown..
Do you guys know whats it for Tpm's ?
I'm a dev manager so I'm not 100% sure what is the compensation for PMs (we don't differentiate PMs/TPMs at Tableau). I was under the impression that it was the same as software engineers....but I could be wrong. Sorry!
I would imagine tpm would be Ops. Not sure of compensation breakdown. I would think rsu’s are lower but purely guessing
Yeah there are currently no TPM in development, which is where you’ll find the highest pay. Other departments pay significantly less.
TPMs in Tableau ops are harassed and used by leadership for infighting between ops dev, qa and programs. Pay in ops is a fraction of product dev. 120K + 200k RSU + 10% bonus
Is this for Senior?

PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
Senior band at Tableau is very large - 140+ base to more than 180k. $500k in RSUs over 4 years. 10% annual bonus.
That’s pretty good RSU, comparable to FANG
Thats SWE, not for TPM
