Currently L6 PM in Amazon. I'm considering a senior manager job in strategy at Walmart. Will the TC be comparable to senior PM level at Walmart? Should I just stick to pure product roles at Walmart? #walmart
Thanks, that makes sense. And an L6 PM for 3.5 years is already almost near director level
You mean in pay or capability?
Sr. PM would make around 250K, Principal would make around 320K, Director would make around 400K ..
Thank you
Yvsgi — I think you’re right that base+bonus is 250K for a Sr. Manager right (for an x6), but Director (x7) base+bonus is 300K, not the 400K you mentioned. With stock, a Director is getting 400K but that’s after 4 years of vesting.
What's the current TC?
Stay product management
Did u interview OP?
Everyday low prices!
I’m in the market for new roles. Anyone willing to refer me to PM roles at Walmart? L6 Amazon PM here :)
I'm looking for PM as well. What's your motivation?
Curious to know why are you guys looking to switch from Amazon to Walmart for PM roles ?
Why do you want to move from Amazon to Walmart?
Do not move!! The culture is toxic
FYI - Senior product manager or even senior manager at Walmart won't pay you the same as a Amazon L6 PM
@jkrow just curious - how old is your info?
As of May 2019. I had a few conversations with Walmart when I was looking to change jobs. And the recruiter made it very clear that my salary expectations were pretty high. And I wasn't asking anything crazy. My friend who referred me to Walmart told me beforehand that pay is not great For reference, a director in the bay area makes 300k. This info was provided by the recruiter
