Are offers still crazy high? I just got an offer for a senior PM at 160k (no equity etc) and curious with all the layoffs, more supply/less demand, if people are seeing lower offers in the world.
Where is this offer from ?
Seems low to average. A small startup with limited funds offered $160k for Sr PM. That’s was top of the range and because a former boss was trying to poach, but still.
But small startup will be giving out a good amount of equity. The op is getting no equity. Comp sounds like it’s from a bank or something
Right, that’s why I said low.
I just spoke with a recruiter at a series b yesterday for a Senior pm role and the comp range was 380-400k. Half is funny money, but still a decent base.
That was the cash base or total? Curious what the cash base was
What was the base?
Got it thanks -yea it's in the healthcare space and last year they raised 100million so it feels a little odd
Seems like they’re aiming for stability with frugality. If you’re looking for that it could be a safe bet.
160 feels low for senior but in general healthcare doesn't pay as much. is this a private company or do they just not offer equity?
Big tech isn't going to suddenly lower all the salary bands. They over hired because pandemic gains weren't permanent. Will definitely make it harder to break in though
Seems a little low. I just got an offer for Sr PM-T for 295k
Base? Where at?
Offer for small start up base is fine, but no bonus, no equity you don’t want to be a PM there. They should be throwing equity at you. Had a couple sr pm offers at small startups last year 150-175k base 7500-12000 options over 4 years for reference. Smaller startup lower base, more options. Don’t take that offer unless you have no PM experience.
PM and SWE always get options or stock unless cash offer is extremely high
Seems low for a “senior” pm, but roles mean different things at different companies. What’s the company
