Senior software engineer comp at square
I completed onsite at Square for a Senior Software Engineer role and think it went well. What would be the compensation range for senior engg position?. I have 8 yoe Additionally, any info on how good or bad the yearly refershers are would be helpful. Tc: 270
8 yoe is most likely going to be L5, which will be around 240-280k based on how well you interviewed. Unlikely you'll be upleveled to a L6
Im L5, 6YOE at 270k - and Im around the mid in the comp range and haven’t had very much stock appreciation, hope that helps as a benchmark

Almost all of our questions are custom made. They are questions that we ask you to build something for us instead of reversing a linked list. There's some algorithms under the hood, but they're masked and hidden inside a problem.

I'm not saying that's wrong, maybe you know someone who got that offer, but it's certainly not the default. Maybe you could negotiate up to that but I strongly doubt it.
