I started the process in March, finally cleared the interviews in July and still on team matching. The first team who was interested and scheduled onsite hired an internal candidate when I cleared the loop. They put me out into the open pool. I talk to hiring managers and then recruiter comes back saying that there isn’t a match. I am not some terrible candidate -, I have cleared FB, Stripe, Uber and Snap after seeing no progress for last four weeks. The recruiter isn’t even showing any interest. Google “was” my dream company and ever since my college days I wanted to join Google. But utterly disappointed. I didn’t give any interviews as I was waiting for Google but FO! Tc now - $530k ( OCI ) (The role I interviewed for, my profile and location are anonymous- Pls don’t ask) New TC - Negotiating offers. #engineering #software
Sounds like you’re just a terrible candidate
If urgent just take other offer
After FB, Stripe, Uber and Snap — why do you want Google’s offer? Isn’t is clear to you by now that bureaucracy is killing that whale?
I would take any of FB Stripe Uber or Snap over Google. Google has the lowest pay, slowest pace and hardest promotion track among them. Prestige is good but it’s the reason you get lowballed and downleveled and still consider Google as your top choice.
Snap over Google, bahaha
Is stripe interview challenging? And may I ask your yoe?
9+ The most challenging were Googl and FB. Preparing for them made rest “easier”.
Bay Area?
No, Bay Area would have been easier. This location isn’t (keeping anonymous). I don’t want to locate to Bay Area
Ohk
You cleared FB, stripe, Uber and Snap, I wouldn’t worry about Google lol. Congrats on your offers!! If I may ask, how was Uber and FB interviews?
YOE?
How many hiring managers did you talk to in the team matching phase?
