ServiceNow eng role

I’m considering a software eng position at ServiceNow in San Diego. But Glassdoor reviews are somewhat concerning. Any first hand experience?

I heard from someone who worked there the work can be boring. Last I heard they’re growing like crazy - not sure if those plans have been affected by pandemic

It's going pretty well and we are growing and hiring despite the pandemic. Let me know if you need a referral.

I really enjoy working there. The type of work varies by team. I like the culture and have learned a lot from my team members. Was there anything particular in the reviews you wanted to know about?

There were a few reviews mentioning politics and sometimes bad wlb. But as in any large company it’s very team dependent, so your personal experience would be helpful.

I haven’t personally noticed any issues with politics. WLB is usually good. There is sometimes a request to help in the evening or weekend but it’s rare. Usually related to making sure everything (tests for example) look good before a release. It happens on our team maybe 2-3x/year. Otherwise it has been flexible on work schedule. There are people on call that may need to respond off work hours too. I think it is usually senior developers that have been working for a while and is a smaller list though (in my group only maybe 4 people out of 70 that I know of)

I’m in SD office and I like it a lot, people are very nice and the work environment is good. As always it might depend team to team but everyone I met in the platform org is pretty chill

I’m actually very interested in a position in platform development team. Would you be open to referring me?

Sure, pm’d you
