During previous Broadcom acquisitions, what was the severance package? Was there any accelerated stock vesting? I’m a recent hire at VMware. #severance #layoff TC - 400k YoE - 10 #symanteclayoffs #calayoffs
Was the severance 2 months + 2 weeks per service?
From posts I see that severance was given by symantec/CA instead of broadcom. Vmware should confirm the number so that people can easily decide to stay or look out
Ex-Broadcom here (ex-CA - laid-off at beginning of pandemic) Severance packages at Broadcom are good, no accelerated stock vestings. Back when we were CA we had no stocks, so I can’t say how it was during the ca to Broadcom transition. People I know that were laid off during this period got good severance packages. Broadcom doesn’t layoff as often. They did it when pandemic hit and they did it silently (put all employees on rotation to go to office and laid off many people during the first week of this phase, so they only noticed how many got laid off when they were 100% back in office). I was the top performer of my team for 1.5 year before getting laid off. They did it to me because I was the youngest on the team and “had better chances than the rest”, which was completely BS I’d like to add that Broadcom has no home office policy and firmly enforced the go-to-office rule
How much was the severance?
Dude what was the severance, you missed answering the most important point
