I'm a man. Worked for Facebook for a few months. Got sexually harassed by a married female colleague. I was single at the time. Harassment mainly involved questions on my sexual life, compliments on my physical appearance and the occasional touch/rub on back/shoulder. For me it wasn't a big deal even though I mentioned to her a couple of times she is crossing the line. One day, out of the blue, I was called for an investigation for sexual harassment of the colleague. Apparently her husband caught some texts she sent me and to clear her conscience and save her marriage, she tried to put the blame on me and she mentioned something to a colleague who raised it to hr and an investigation started. Even though all text messages clearly show she was the one initiating all interactions and asking me out to "friendly" dinners outside the office several times, it didn't matter to the hr investigator. She framed me, fabricated evidence and lied in her report to make it look like I was the guilty one. I was fired and left with post trauma I'm handling until today (it's being several years since the case). I sued Facebook in labor court with anti publicity warrant to protect my reputation. The investigator was the main witness and because Facebook had zero evidence while I had lots of evidence, the judge ruled in my favor and I won a small compensation (barely covered my expensive legal fees). The female colleague who harassed me still works there. The HR manager who didn't help me still works there. The HR investigator who fired me under false pretenses was promoted to Director of International Investigations. And me? I haven't had one decent good night sleep for years :/ TC: 240k #hrissues #facebook #meta
When did this happen?
read again, it's literally in the post
How much compensation did you get
It barely covered the expense, so it’s probably small comparing to the hassle he experienced
Likely low six figures.
If you won, you should not have received small compensation. What did you leave out?
Winning and proving substantial damages are very different
Welcome to the woke future. You are a pawn target, and nobody dares to help protect you
This is the Republican future where whatever companies want goes whether they’re right or not
Thanks Obama! This is why we should take away women's rights? Vote Republican for a male-dominated future!
i’m so sorry OP. this is not okay
@rivian are you her husband?
That’s a crazy story, sorry for what you went through. Not sure why it’s affecting your sleep though, you did nothing wrong and won in court, let’s move on and distance ourselves from crazy ppl. Btw how much did you get in court and did Meta pay you when they fired you?
This is so tone deaf. You should delete your comment.
Fake
Don't be an a-hole here. If this is real, he is suffering every single day.
