Shall i leave within month of joining ms
I joined ms with hopes of getting backend work as my exp and left another offer. But my team only has front end work and mobile work so i have been assigned fronted. I have not rejected another offer which i got when I was searching for job. Shall i run away from here as its been 3.2 weeks and join that company without telling them that i joined something and ran away. Shall i wait for first connect in msft and change team after that. I am not sure what expectations are with me as 3 yoe in backend but now doing front end in react Tc 30 lpa L61
Switching teams at MS needs interviewing in most cases. What is your other offer? It’s weird if you told ms about what you like and got something totally different because you interview for the team not company..
I was interviewed for different team but as this team was building new and some web people were required they me in this.. in hiring call i was not able to understand exact work of mine and i joined
if you can wait for 3-6 months, it would be better. Else, start looking at internal transfer. Now that you're in the company, you can have a better idea of the new team. However the hiring managers can ask for connects / ask for reason as to why you wanna move so soon
This seems strange...did you communicate in your interview that you were only interested in backend? If yes, you need to communicate these concerns to your manager.
If your assigned team is wrong for your career , leave for the other offer
Friend took a lateral into Intuit because he wanted to switch into product mgmt , from process COE leadership at another firm — one week after arriving , got re-org out of product team and back into a process COE, but as staff, not the leader — didn’t get to do what he wanted and got the shaft on career progression
OP I am not kidding the same thing gappened to me as well at MS. I left the company as my situation was really bad-recruitrr totally lied about what role I was getting. I ended up in a different role that I had no background in. My manager wasn't supportive at all when I asked to switch.
Did u pay 45 days np amount.. or how does it happens .. my other offer expires in 4 days so I can not serve 45 days

But this team doesn't have that work. Its in Mobile domain and bit of front end.. can he change team.. what if i talk and he says no .. it can impact my review if he doesn't change team
