Lyft recruiters has been spamming on Linkedin and it's managers have put status that they are hiring all the while doing company wide layoffs. I don't even see business rebound. It's sad to see a nice company spoiling it's image and playing with its employees career. Now I read that they are planning for second layoffs. #tech
Second lay-off? Link?
Rumors in the Lyft channels and whatnot
No layoff now
Forgive my naivety but what’s even the strategy here? Hiring is expensive. Why aggressively fire and start re hiring?
You got rejected or laid off there? 🤡 I know a bunch of people there and they are doing just fine
Coming from someone at a company with “stellar” reputation. Maybe focus on your own shit first?
Pretty much
Lots of layoffs are political not necessarily financial
Yup
It's makes sense to continue hiring where needed while laying off low performers. It doesn't make people happy, but it makes sense.
