Passed the interview for L7 PM in Toronto. For salary negotiation they did not give me an amount, just asked what I was looking for. I ask from low $300 CAD, based on other companies I am interviewing at (wayfair/Meta/Square), and this is high-end salary for this role in this location. What does everyone think, they are going to come to me with? Current TC = 220k CAD Edit/Update: With no negotiation, my offer was 300k CAD
What’s that leveling map to Facebook or google
Could you please share any case study tips ?
Same as any standard PM intervirew, Product sense and product execution cases. Just use tryExponent to practise
How different and difficult was the final case study compared to the Mini case study
Any updates on this? Also how does the leveling work? I live in Canada but applied to US roles as I am fine to work in the states and want the better TC, wonder what they'll say given I am currently based in Canada.
Update is in post. They determine leveling after interviewing. Make sure you interview well. No idea about the US/Canada
Also did you get joining bonus? Not sure if Shopify offers it
Is 300K CAD base or TC?

I'd ask for much more. I know 175k base is usually what’s offered for L7 candidates in Canada who meet or exceed expectations during interviews. RSUs for L7 also max out at around 400k USD
I was told by a L7 @ Shopify that 320 was the top of the scale
Were they referring to 320k as yearly TC? If so, that's realistic.
