Shopify teams recommendation for backend developer
I need to rank teams at shopify for a future potential position as a backend developer. - Core - Growth - Merchant Services - Shop - SFN - Trust - Revenue Would be interested in the opinion of the community in terms of the pros/cons! I’m a developer with a lot of ambition who loves learning and facing interesting challenges! #engineering #software #shopify
I’m in core, working closely with SFN. Some of the great leadership in core I got to interact with over the past years moved to SFN. I love working on core but if I had to move, I’d move to SFN. Tooling on SFN is slightly better IMO.

Core is huge, but generally it has the best WLB. Projects are slower and you deal with more legacy code. Growth and MS have the worst WLB and leadership from what I heard. There’s more urgency to ship, but apparently their projects are more interesting
Has anyone work with the Revenue team?
SFN because working here is seriously challenging
What about teams culture at SFN ?
