I have been work on enterprise software for almost 1.5 year , however, my pursuit is to work for consumer product companies, like Facebook, Airbnb, Robinhood, Uber...which usually iterate faster. I am worried that if I keep working on enterprise product , will it be hard to change to different fields? The development processes are quite different. Should I change to consumer product company ASAP?
Domain doesn't matter, cool shit you have done matters. Are you working on high scale services ? Building low latency stuff ? Or kick ass UX ? As long as you are technically strong it wouldn't matter . Most of consumer space companies don't discriminate based on Domain
Side project can add value too. I was on the same boat and then got hired by a consumer product company because they saw one of my side projects.
it depends what technologies are you learning? mule esb?

Bookmarked. In the same boat. Enterprise is cool and all, it’s just not that exciting when I get blank stares as I tell people what I do.
