Currently jobless but received an offer from VMware for Tech support role. I am in final stages of interview with another startup, confident of receiving an offer next week. What do VMware or Broadcom blinders think about their company hiring people now? Are they doing to fire after acquisition closes? Do you recommend joining now? I worry having to start looking soon after joining? Appreciate your help Blind tax: current TC - 0, VMware offer - 100k
VMware is about to get ripped to shreds by Broadcom
Take what your getting and keep interviewing . Different company after Broadcom acquisition
Delay the offer until November and you will have your answer by then
Just take the job and keep on the hunt regardless
Take job and keep looking can always leave after a month or get severance lol. Or other offer comes in and take that one.
Accept it
Accept it you might get laid off but then that could give severance. Your offer might just be canceled as well. Accept and keep interviewing . What’s the harm?
Jump ship if you find a better offer. Anyone will understand given the situation here rn
Totally depends on the role, the scope and what BU you are in
Depends on your BU but WS1 is wondering what our fate is.
