The touchbar is awesome, it’s not hard to use. The escape key is in the top left corner. You can do it!
The touch bar has always been shit. Only thing ever used on it is volume control and escape, and those were there anyway.
The whole keyboard will be replaced by a touch bar, mainly for emoji mode (whole keyboard will just be emoji for better chat experience).

Fun fact: you can assign "Esc" to the caps lock key. Then download pock for a new touchbar layout and never look back
