Should I join AMD?

Got an offer from AMD for AI Development Engineer at their Austin, TX location. Can someone guide if it’s a good idea to leave my current job (2+ years) for AMD during these layoffs? Not finding much about layoffs at AMD recently. Current CTC 135k New: 180k Team: Product Dev Engineering

Job security wise u think its OK considering layoffs happening in the big tech. What I'd add that the projects, work itself can be daunting plus management is also an aspect to consider. What team are you joining?

Dont join AMD.You will definitely loose your confidence to work in Tech industry. Better find another place where you will feel to work.

I am currently working for the MLSE team at AMD. I don’t recommend you to join the team, if you have offers from other companies. Consider AMD as a backup. If there are no other offers and you don’t like your current team, then join AMD. TBH, your skill sets will not expand or be improved here at AMD. I am actively looking for a job outside right now.

If you can wait a couple more weeks, decide after the AMD earnings. If our stock crashes back down below 100, I am sure the exec will consider layoff

Then definitely join at 100 it has high chNce going back to 250

Only join AMD if you like working weekends and clueless senior leaders. You must have other options.
