I work at TCS as a contractor for Johnson and Johnson. I have only 1 year of experience and management wants to send me to onsite Brazil. Londrina precisely. My CTC is 770000 rupees per year. Currently I'm preparing for interviews and my prep is solid af. A virtual interview on Amazon is scheduled next week. And I am confident I can crack any non FAANG middle level companies if I sit right now. Should I move to Brazil for 2 years. Is it a good opportunity ? Will it help in my career ? And what is the salary like there ?
Will be a fun experience. You won’t find a lot of Asians or even English speaking folks over there owing to language barriers, so that might hit your dating game (if you plan to have any). Career-wise, it will always be a good story to tell. Won’t expect anything beyond that.
Any idea how much salary in dollar or rupees I can expect ? Consider my current one. I get around 45k rupees per month in hand
Go to Brazil. Grind code everyday. Come back and tell your thirsty indian friends how you got on with hot brazilians!
One question. Suppose I start the visa process. Then just before going there I resign as I got a better offer. What are the consequences? As per your logic and experience? Because I am not staying for 2 years
Sorry what consequences? If you leave for a better offer, no one’s gonna hold it against you unless you have signed something that prevents you from doing exactly this.
How many folks move from Tcs to Brazil on J&J account? I think not many, so you might have just revealed your identity to your colleagues.
Who gives a shit
I would rather post my LinkedIn profile here for some recruiters to see and offer job interviews lol. On a serious note, want to refer me in Qualcomm?
Watch out for safety in Brazil which is a big factor. Also most on-site roles are coordinator types and if you think you can get good offers, then long term it makes sense to stay in India. If you want to get the feel of another country, then it’s a decent option.
Thanks for the info. I'm seriously reconsidering the onsite option now. Management says, after 2 years Brazil onsite they will put my name is US visa lottery as getting visa from Brazil pool is easier than India. What's your take on this ?
Bullshit on H1 lottery. Even if you apply from Mars, you still got the same probability as applying from India. What kind of BS is peddled by managers? Even after 2 years they will not file H1, as you are already on-site and there is an army of people in India vying for US onsite.
Yeah you're right.
You can do some Job hunt in brazil and switch over there 😎, And if you get into Amazon you can just leave right away saying you have some emergency
Racist comment alert
Not interested much in hookups and sex. I am not even talking to my gf for the last few weeks for my interview preps lol. Sex is overrated
