I left ford just before layoff because I was in a a dead end role and low pay. I found a decent job that does not have too much future in it. It is just has better compensation with bad benefits. Recently Ford let go so many. Now I got approached by a recruiter for another ford position (position I wanted before but didn’t get, I was told I had to work more years before moving to a different department) for much better comp and benefits. In lights of recent layoffs I am super concerned but It is a familiar place and I only need minimal training. I am also getting multiple offers but ford offer seems enticing. And I am being told this position is funded and will be no be affected future layoffs. I miss my buddies at ford but I am super conflicted. Welp
It is a shitshow. Never return
If you think your current job is a dead end then hop again. Might as well maximize TC. If you saw a future elsewhere I'd say don't bother coming back... Unfortunately.
Avoid unless the jump is strong enough (i.e. gsr7 when u left to LL6)
You have my permission son. You can go back to Ford
