Should I stay, take offer, work both jobs?

I’m struggling with my mental health at my first company. The rotating doors, change in leadership, new reorg every 6 months, so many unknowns. New CIO, new org structure with promises of placement in new charter for everyone, no clue how they are moving people, maybe directors and above will need to interview. But what about directors below? Two layoffs happened last year, I believe I’m next on the chopping block. Keep hearing about cost cutting, but company became profitable (finally), stock doubled, bonus payout so far is tracking well. My bonus and RSU pays out in March and April next year, about $75-80k total. Current TC $300k The new job offer is 10k less for base salary. No RSU, it’s private. TC would be $250k Any thoughts? I’m literally struggling because I was laid off before (during pandemic) so I have terrible PTSD. Trying to make sure we have enough funds in case I do get laid off, we also have a child. I have been applying because of my PTSD since last November and the market is so terrible that will likely take next year or even 2025 to get better. Spouse thinks I should wait it out and get severance and apply to jobs closer to vesting. #layoff #severance Although I don’t know what the implications of working both jobs would be or if I would get terminated by one or both.

With your TC, can’t you control your finances better to not be afraid of a few months without a job? You should also be fairly confident you’ll always get a job eventually

Well, I’ve been applying since November because I been wanting to leave, and it’s just been way too competitive. The market is tough for tech. So it may be even more than a year I’m unemployed. So that’s what I’m worried about.

Just coast until vesting date.

That’s what I have been doing. Just that this new opportunity came but and wasn’t sure.
