I got an offer with Google that starts in 4 weeks. Part of the reason I'm leaving is because I haven't had any work, but I come in anyways. The work I do is very menial if anything. "Can you change all the font in this presentation to segoe" I'm going crazy. I'm 64 and TC 250, so this work feels very under me. I was thinking of just telling my manager that I'm going to a competitor to get walked out. Do I still get paid until my last day? What's the negative to this? This sounds awful, but I don't think my manager would blink an eye. What do you all think?
Lmao
Itβs okay to make enemies.
Congrats! Prob not a good idea if you wanna keep getting paid. If you canβt stand it anymore, just quit and enjoy some extra weeks off. π
Why?
@nerdy girl you already have an offer from Google why stress this? Just quit and tell your manager that you would like to leave immediately. Say it in a polite but direct manner. Enjoy few weeks off. That money isn't going to matter in the long run at all.
Some millennials are in their mid 30s already. Quite possible to be L64. π
I'm 32 yrs old - so yeah millennial
And yes, you should. It will not affect you being paid. π
How many years you have been with Microsoft?
What do you do to make 250k at 32.
It's not that crazy? Check out levels.fyi - how are you not making that much at Amazon
What level at Google?
L5 so according to levels.fyi a parallel jump
Based on the work you have been doing it should be L4 or below
Fucking millennials.
How can he be millennial? He is saying he is 64?
She* - I'm 32
