I'm currently on STEM OPT and unhappy at my current job. I got picked in my H1 lottery this year but have an RFE. RFE due date is in 3 weeks. If I find a job soon, should I have my company withdraw my application and switch on my OPT? Or should I wait till October and then apply for H1 transfer? Things are really bad right now and I want to quit asap.
Your current company is obligated to revoke your H-1B after you leave by law.
Do you have an offer already in line?
Nope, but I'm actively applying
Lol - why are we even having this discussion?
Since you don't have a job offer, work on your rfe and get it fixed. If possible wait til October to get your h1b transferred.
If you are being physically abused you should really be talking to HR.
My recommendation is to pull it through. Getting selected in lottery is matter of luck, everything else can be somehow managed

PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
When did you get RFE? Reason for RFE? Regular or premium?
Speciality Occupation. Premium. Got it end of May, haven't responded yet. Waiting for draft from law firm early next week
Man, you're way too slow.
