If a recruiter asks which company gave you a competing offer should you share it with them?
Name is important. For example Google will care less if it’s a unicorn startup but care more for FB. So depending on how you want to play your cards name can be important for negotiations.
I had two offers and I negotiated up with one company by just stating the details of the competing offer without disclosing the name of the company. They took me for my word. I guess it depends on how honest you come across as.
They shouldn’t be asking current salary or offers proof according to new law.
Google more than doubled my stock award once they knew competing offers were from FAAN.
Awesome!
Goes to show how companies lowball on their offers when a candidate doesn’t have competing offers. Sad!
