Recently saw many posts of hiring freeze. Not sure I'm also victim of that. Last week got selected for siemens interview for javascript PL11. Had 2 tech interview ,1 managerial, last HR discussion. All of them went well. In last discussion she asked salary expectation. I told 14-15 LPA as already have an offer of 13 LPA. for 5-6 mins she told why I should work under someone experience like here in siemens etc. coz in startup aim is to get shit done, you wont have actual learning in long run etc etc. Also told they pays 5-6 LPA for someone in my experience range. They cant more as they give all employees equal. I mentioned salary confidential policy also I'm not going to tell my peers my salary. She said few other stuff then in end told tomorrow will let me know the final amount they can offer. Next day received email "We've decided not move forward with you". I tried calling twice, didnt answer, no callback either. Honestly I was going to ask just feedback and if this about salary or interview performance or anything else. Irony: when received 1st email about interview schedule and other details. I mentioned current CTC 7.2 LPA and expected 13 LPA. Not sure why she went to such lengths when they can't offer that much. That's totally bullshit. I'm PL 11 too and I was hired at 10.5 LPA
