Found out the only reason I was no longer considered for a job (promotion, higher pay/benefits, greater responsibility/visibility, etc.) was because my Skip gave a poor review to the hiring manager (as told to me by the hiring manager). Complaints raised by my Skip had never been shared with me previously, nor were they reflected by my excellent performance reviews, i.e. Skip lied and/or misconstrued my performance. Reaction to Skip's approach? **Clarification: New Job/Hiring Manager was a completely different team, not in the same mgmt. chain/group as my current Skip level Manager**
Fk your skip
Skip to my lou, wth is skip within this context?
You're bosses boss is the skip Skp in the context of skip level
You mean "your"
Acceptable or not. There isn't much you can do other than leaving, whether that's a new team or job outside
This
Do you want to take the path of good or evil?
What is the path of evil advice
Find a new job and put in a 2 minute notice on the day right before you start the new one
Time to find another job
Time to start lc.
The question is what did you do? Skips don't randomly push people down. You should leave right away as you will not grow there
Not necessarily. When I switched teams internally, my old manager apparently was extremely mean and misogynistic in his review of me to my new hiring manager. I had never received poor performance reviews from old manager. Hiring manager told me after I was on boarded to the new team.
Haha. "Skips don't randomly push down." Naivete. Skips play politics. If pushing you down advances their politics, bet your career they'll do it. You're collateral damage.
Grow a set and set up a conversation with skippy to address your concerns.
Leave.
You ain’t getting a promotion if your skip doesn’t want you to.
Sad but true
And if you’re good Skip probably likes to look good.
