I'm about to interview for Slack (I guess that I should say Salesforce now?). What should I expect from their interview process? How hard are their LC questions? TC: 190 K EUR
LC easy and they value cultural fit more than ability
When is your interview?
Next week. It was supposed to take place earlier this week but I had to reschedule
How did it go OP?
It's been a bit of a slow process, so far I've had a hiring manager interview and a take home code challenge. Waiting on the outcome of that one.
I read that Slack does not ask DS Algo questions: https://slack.engineering/a-walkthrough-guide-to-finding-an-engineering-job-at-slack/
written 5 years ago by someone no longer at the company. I wouldn't be surprised if that process is pretty out of date
I am also interviewing and they told me the take home was in python. I am a Java/golang programmer so I hope they can change the language but looks like they won’t budge
That's interesting, in my case they didn't prescribe the language. Maybe there are per team differences. What position did you apply to?
I am double checking with interviewer to make sure I am right. Will post an update here
Do they ask LC questions or coding interviews? I thought its only take home but how about onsite?
No LC in my case
Did anyone from this post end up getting the job at slack? I’m looking at applying for a mid-level front end SE position and curious how the process went/how hard the technical questions were
He did. Of course I know him. He's me
How do you like it??
One of the few other companies using hack!
