I have some slack stock acquired at cost basis of around $30. Trying to understand what could happen after Salesforce acquisition ? I understand that it depends on the type of acquisition. Let’s say it’s an all stock type of deal then what would happen? Will my stock be converted to CRM stock without incurring a taxable event? If I sell now, I will get a huge tax hit from short term gains so I want to avoid any taxable event.
I sold slack calls at 40 to pocket premium incase deal doesn’t work out
Good move. I have LEAPS as well. Waiting to see how it all plays out.
Right - but i bought a lot of work at 30 so i wanted insurance incase deal didn’t happen and stock falls - don’t want the short term gain but oh well its a gain
Don’t sell, you’ll get short term gains on the rumor and you’ll get paid on whatever the price per share is, don’t think it’ll convert to SF stock
Yes not selling.
