Etsy WLB is pretty great but cannot speak on Slack. I would ask more questions to both companies and then make a decision. No one here knows what you want out of your next job as much as you do.

Seconded what @^$ said. WLB @ Etsy is pretty great, but know people who are at Slack as well and love it. Other things to consider: - do you want to work on a consumer-facing or business-facing product? @Etsy lots of work is user-focused and centered around experimentation, if that's something you like u can get lots of visibility for it (not to mention satisfaction re moving the needle for your team & users) - culture: what team will you work on, who will your manager be, just overall where can you see yourself being most successful? Oftentimes success in a company is more a factor of who you work w, esp if TC is close. Will say that at Etsy there is a strong culture of awesome people, feel free to DM w any Qs :)

Thanks for the response. Honestly, if Etsy had unlimited (and encouraged) pto, I think I’d be all for it. I just can’t come to terms with only 20pto (yes, on top of 11 holidays)

11 holidays and 7 other company-wide days off, plus company-wide highly-encouraged-no-meeting days. "Unlimited sick" as well in the sense that it's not accrued but they expect folks to take no more than 8-10 sick days a year. So overall pretty good IMO. I transitioned to Etsy limited pto from an unlimited environment and had similar concerns, but so far I've been happy. the company-wide time off makes it extra sweet since you don't need to catch up on anything when you come back.
