Anyone have a viewpoint on the culture at Slalom Consulting? Recruiter reached out to me this morning for a possible role on their tech team up in Seattle. Not sure how stable things are with Slalom as I hear there's a hiring freeze. But if they loosen things up, how's the culture there? TC: 175/Pleasanton YOE: 5
I've worked there. They've got the best culture I've ever seen. Interesting projects across industries too, great opportunities to expand your expertise across different domains. Pay could be better, but I always was energized and happy while I was there. I was in Slalom Build specifically, which is separate from Slalom Consulting. Enjoyed Build a lot.
Awesome! Thanks so much Blind Fam For taking the time and sharing feedback
I’ve never worked at a place where the culture is this good. I really love all my peers and work place is very friendly. There is a soft hiring freeze but we also didn’t lay anyone off. Overall I would highly recommend but the only gripe is that TC is rather low compared to other companies but good WLB
Not going to tell you any of the Kool aid. I came from industry. And compared to previous companies, I have never worked with better people. Depending on the client, the project could be rewarding or frustrating but it averages out to 6 months per engagement. And you can typically request to go to another project. TC is low. The base is perhaps comparable, but no stock. No layoff in 08-09 and no layoff on the horizon either.
TC is low, yet the rates are high. No internal grumbling about that from the consultants?
Referral for???? What are you looking for? What are your credentials, skills, and prior positions?
People are generally friendly. I am from the slalom consulting side and I found projects could be boring and not challenging. Might be rare to get an interesting challenging projects but I guess it depends on your skills and area of speciality.
I have hired over a dozen Slalom consultants.. never heard anything negative about the company from the contractors.
Appreciate it carz guy. Glassdoor reviews look pretty good as well vs. the company I'm at now.
