Smartsheet Interview
Does anyone have recent experience interviewing at Smartsheet? I am hoping to interview with them and the most recent thing I've seen here are posts in 2020 saying they ask LC easy-med with Amazon style behavioral questions. Is this still accurate? Applying for SDE II so if anyone has salary insights/expectations I would appreciate it. Levels says median is 215k for sde ii, but I see there is quite a difference between their full stack and their backend sde iis. TC: 80k with 2yoe
Do yourself a favor and stay away. The company is in very poor shape these days. I would not advise interviewing there.
Can you please elaborate? Poor shape financially? Recent culture change? At worst, this would be practice for other companies (I would probably interview at Amazon)

It's still accurate. Usually it's manager leetcode easy, onsite with 2 leetcode mediums, system design, and behavioral with manager and possibly product owner depending on the team. We've had recent layoffs though, so if you're serious about joining it's good to be aware. Culture here can be hectic but it varies wildly based off the team. The company as a whole is financially healthy and still growing, but engineering in particular is kind of in disarray right now due to the layoffs and over hiring we did the past 2 years. Imo we'll be fine, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I will say though that our stock is insanely undervalued, and i think it's highly likely there's good runway to go up 50ish percent in the next 5 or so years, so youd be getting in at a good time equity wise.

Everyone’s stock is seriously undervalued. Much better run up potential with other companies, especially the big ones.
If you join, you may want to choose a team besides grid team. Recently they laid off DBAs, remaining ones left, then there was some outage. Likely to be some unpleasant on-call rotations there for a while.
Lol. Anything is better than RH org. She throws her managers and engineers under the bus like a pro.
Are they hiring? Thought they were in a freeze
They have two SDE II positions available right now, I was referred by a friend there
Doubt those roles will be filled unless they are in the UK. US Eng hiring is still frozen.
