I’ve been hearing positive things about Snap and I’m interested in learning about it (engineering culture, compensation structure, WLB, etc) and potentially apply there. I’d appreciate any insight from Snap employees. #snap YOE: 7 TC: 500
Your TC is 500? Wow! Are you a vice president?
Ask how much of that is Monopoly money.
Is it monopoly money? I thought they would get MTCH
I’ve heard the opposite. E.g. attrition, politics like LA vs SF wars, dumb council events etc
That was true a year or two ago, not anymore
No idea but I really like their tech talks. Hear it’s a bit of a perform or die culture but people I spoke to were really nice.. I didn’t get past phone screen and I have no idea why. Interviewer was nice and chill though
7 YOE making $500k at Tinder? Are you a tech lead/engineering manager? What did you do to get that TC?
Software Engineer. TC is mostly from equity.
It's good. Better than most other places.
+1 to this 👻
Did snap culture get better than what it used to be?
Anyone care to explain more about Snapchat culture? Is it good place nowadays?
