Snap L5, TC ~520k Twitter staff engineer, no number yet but expect close to snap Snap stock is quite high. I have some concerns about it. The team has cool projects but Wlb isn’t very good - expect 50hrs+ at according to the L4 interviewer from the team. Twitter is chill but stock is also high. The position is fully remote. Thoughts? I’m looking for career growth. I plan to go to the management route one day. I’m in my 30s: married no kids. Edit: I feel unprepared for the scope of being a staff engineer. I also don’t have lots of YOE as you can see (Imposter syndrome) Snap L5 ~= F/G L5.5 Current TC: 260k (SDE2 at Amazon) YOE: 6.5
Plz go to Twitter, their stock is totally low haha
Really? I do like Snap’s team project better. What do you think of SNAP.
@psum was obviously joking
Twitter staff can be much higher than 520k
Do you have any range?
Normal midpoint is above 550k, but you may not be able to reach if they think you are on low end (since you are sde 2 at Amazon)
Sde2 at amazon to L5 .. wow ..plz share your secret
Snap hr internally confirmed their l5 is like google l5/fb e5. Half level up at most.
Snap L5 and Twitter Staff are almost 2 levels up than Amazon L5
Could you please elaborate?
What was the interview process at each of these? Ie how many coding rounds, sys design, cultural etc
Congrats on the offers. How do you crack the Twitter staff interview? Is it sys design or behavior?
I want to know also. Can you please share how you managed to crack Twitter staff?
Too good, congrats! I would pick twitter staff, better wlb, better title.
Which team with Snap and Twitter?
TC for twitter staff?

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Did Snap change their leveling? I thought L5 was Staff for them?
It used to be equivalent to F/G’s 6. But I heard it’s now 5.5.
