People at Snap, what was your initial RSU grant and what is your equity worth now? (Or when you sold)
12/17 * (1-1.8million)
This right here
Except, 15 instead of 17 for most
Why would there be tax implications on an RSU that declined in value? You're effectively got a haircut and so you pay less in taxes.
It’s taxed at vesting. Any losses after that can be balanced against portfolio gains or written off up to a 3k loss.
Ah, correct, yeah. I always sold stock immediately at vest, so I forgot about folks holding onto RSUs.
Why are you so mean
;( I was just curious because I got one of the new equity packages (or non Stanford packages, I’m not really sure) and was curious to see how it compared to packages given out pre-ipo. The package I️ got is roughly 62% of a pre-ipo grant at the level I interviewed for.
