10/2021: closed SF office 08/2022: closed MTV office and moved everyone in Bay Area to the Palo Alto office (with merely 200 seats) 10/2022: closed Seattle office’s 4th floor while Bellevue office is not yet open until summer 2023 11/2022: demanding required 80% RTO starting Feb 27, ‘23 but ‘encouraging’ every to RTO the following week 🙃 Basically Snap offices won’t be able to accomodate everyone even if not closed, yet they cut the space aggressively and demand people to go back shortly after. It’s quite atonishing to see this joke of a company that can’t even plan 1 month ahead and won’t hesitate to mess up their employees’ lives. Can’t wait for market to go back to normal and vwmf YOE: 7 TC: 400k
Everyone will ask to come to office. Where will u go
Just follow their instructions and all rto 100% of the days. If the space isnt enough, theyll be forced to revert to wfh or lease a new space very soon. Anyway there are going to be very less full remote companies that can counter your TC
I wonder if this is just a strategy to get people to quit so they don’t have to pay severance.
100%
Given snap’s poor performance, I’d say so. They did it at my company too. Started 5 days for certain teams in October. Then laid a shit load of the company off 2 weeks ago.
Come to Twitter
Plenty of empty desks
Stop spreading rumors. Company is reopening SF office. And the rto doesn't take effect until end of feb, when all offices back open.
It's true and in media, 4 days RTO https://t.co/YqlTWq32I5
Who would have thought that Snap would amount to this. Interesting. I thought we were the bad guys.
its squid game, those who don’t get seats will get fired 😖
More like squish games
Meant to type squeeze lol
